What is Motion Capture?

Motion capture is the process of converting actual human movements into computer files. Once the motion is computer form, the motion can be viewed from any angle, forwards or backwards, with any computer character. Once it's in this form, motion has many uses! Entertainment, training, analysis, and more!

How Does it Work?

We capture motion using a ShapeWrap III suit worn by an actor. The suit fits people of many shapes and sizes. Once it's calibrated, the suit can capture data indoors, outdoors, in light and dark spaces.

The system connects to a laptop computer via a wireless network connection. This means that the suit has a range equivalent to a regular Wi-Fi network. To extend the range of the suit, we can "go mobile" with the operator station. When the operator is mobile, we have an almost infinite range!
